He began performing in 1978 and became a skilled performer in France. In 2020, Christophe appeared as Gerard in the American Netflix original series Emily in Paris.
Christophe made his cinematic debut in The Pawn. He portrays one of the supervising professor’s pupils (his father, Henri Guybet) and one of his guests at the hero and heroine’s wedding (Claude Jade).
Three years later, he is in the bahut and will crack the student Bertrand in Claude Jade’s class. And his father is invited to serve as an overseer known as “the pawn.”
Christophe began working as an apprentice carpenter at the Théâtre des Amandiers in Nanterre when he was 16 years old. After that, he began attending theatrical studies at Cours Simon, Jean-Jacques Mahn, Pierre Reynal, Yves Brainville, and the Cours Florent free class, as well as mask and mime lessons.
In 1986, he alternated between filming television films, films, advertisements, and plays. In 1998, inspired by Philippe Caubère, Bill Hicks, and Robin Williams, he improvised the first draft of a single-on-stage in front of actress Sylve Soulié at Nantes’sNantes’s Graslin pocket theatre.
With this knowledge, he co-created Pourquoi pas ce soir with Isabelle Legueurlier, a show he performed from 2001 to 2010 at Point-virgule, then at the Palais des Glaces and on tour for over 800 performances, all of which were produced by Jean-Pierre Bigard.
The play has garnered several accolades, including “Best Actor Performance” at the Cannes Film Festival. Gentleman Show, his second one-person show, launched in 2011. In cooperation with Isabelle Legueurlier, Nikola Obermann and Nicolas Vallée produced Wash Your Teeth and Learn Your Text in 2015.
